Google asked US students in grades K-12 to design a Google logo around the theme 'If I Could Do Anything, I Would...' Here are the 40 finalists for 2010...
"If I could do anything, I would..." give everyone in the world a super fast computer and Internet. People could become friends. They could help each other. They could find the answers to problems together. They could have fun together. People will not go to war because they are friends.
No Pollution! The coral reef is dying! Small fish live in the coral reef. If the coral reef dies, the small fish will have nothing to eat. If the small fish dies, the big fish will have nothing to eat. Then the bigger fish will have nothing to eat. SAVE THE CORAL!
"If I could do anything, I would..." become the scientist that finds the cure for kidney cancer. My little sister, Emma, had kidney cancer, had chemo to make it go away. Since chemo isn't always a cure, her cancer could come back. So I want to find a forever cure.
If I was a teacher I would teach the whole world. I want to show math, science, reading, handwriting and a lot more. I want everyone to say I am the best teacher. I won't be strict. I will be nice and I won't make them do so much homework.

Here's the winner:

I chose this doodle because the rainforest is in danger and it is not fair to the plants and animals. I love everything except spiders and snakes, but I would still save them.

"If I could do anything, I would..." be a biologist and study about animals and maybe discover a new species.

Traveling back through time I would visit places and people that I learned about in school and bring things back, like extinct animals and dinosaurs. Traveling to the future I would learn about new inventions and bring things back, like medicines and technology. A time machine would help the world.

"If I could do anything, I would..." build really cool robots. My "Recycle Bot" would create energy by chewing up plastic water bottles.

I would save all endangered sea creatures if I could. They are really decreasing in numbers because of fishing and hunting. The blue fin tunas, sea turtles, dolphins and sharks are endangered. If we don't save them, some day they will be extinct. Please help keep the environment safe!

"If I could do anything, I would..." make the world eco-friendly. I would ride my bike to school and make my electricity from wind. I would compost my garbage and recycle my empty bottles and cans. I would keep the earth as clean as when I first found it.

"If I could do anything, I would..." make the world my canvas. This way I could see the world the way I want to. Like the weather would always be painted beautiful with blue skies and puffy white clouds. Another thing in my painted world would be birds singing.

"If I could do anything, I would..." create a bridge of harmony between mankind and nature. Better life relies on the co-existence between man and wildlife, so I would make an ideal world for them by filling the world with hope for a better tomorrow.

"If I could do anything, I would..." end world thirst by creating a type of pipe, hose, and pump that connects straight from the ocean to the people. The water will be filtered while going through the pipeline. My Company would provide the pipelines for free.

I always dreamed of going to space. Well I wondered, wouldn't it be great if there was a playground out there? Riding a shooting star, having a hula hoop contest with Saturn, and having a race to Pluto. "If I could do anything..." I would make a playground in space!

"If I could do anything, I would..." ... splatter the whole world in bright colors.

The sentence my doodle represents is this: "If I could do anything, I would..." save the environment. My doodle emphasizes four natural components: earth, fire, water, and wind. We can use wind turbines, conserve water, recycle for the earth, and use solar power.

Education is a privilege many children take for granted. So many children in underprivileged countries want to have quality education so that they can reach their career aspirations, but they cannot. Therefore, "If I could do anything, I would..."...bring education to people all over the world.

The background depicts deforestation and the effects it can have on our land. We will eventually have less oxygen and clean air. We need to unite to protect not just our lives, but the lives of all the rare and beautiful plants and animals that live there.

Fly to space in rocket ships and future ships alike! In space I would explore unknown planets and inhabit them. That would definitely benefit people here on earth by giving us less polluted planets to live on.

Colonizing the moon would provide homes for the homeless. After the multiple earthquake disasters, people especially need shelters. The Halley's Comet in the background shows that we can do it soon if we put our will to it.

"If I could do anything, I would..." save endangered species. All over the world, innocent animals are becoming less and less common, some even on their way to extinction. Before we know it, some of these incredible animals will be gone forever so something needs to be done about this.

"If I could do anything, I would..."...enrich the world with an intense passion for art and the everlasting joy it provides. Art embodies the creator's expression, and offers exquisite exuberance towards both the artist and the viewers, also serving to soothe an ailing soul in distress.

"If I could do anything, I would..." start a Color Revolution, where all men and women of every race would live together united in peace and equality.

"If I could do anything, I would..." create one of the most hilarious, action-packed, tear-jerking, thought provoking comic series of all time. Impossible? I think NOT! You may be wondering, "How can something be tear-jerking and hilarious at the same time?" That's what's so special about my comic series.

In my doodle, "Free the World of Pollution", I express my love of nature and my interest in protecting our earth's ecosystems. Pollution is disrupting the balance on Earth, and I believe that if everyone finds a way to help, all of nature would rejoice in happiness and harmony.

My doodle supports the theme "If I could do anything, I would..." by showing that if the children in my doodle could do anything they would become something great and make an impact on the world.

"If I could do anything, I would..." ... start a chain reaction. If you are wondering how chemistry fits into this, well... it's simple. The world is made up of chemistry. Every thing in the world is chemistry, and I would make a chain reaction, and make it healthy again.

Fruits and vegetables are vital to healthy maintenance of the human body. Storage and costs prevent distribution to underprivileged people. I would invent a system to gather and store healthy food for all the world's population: inspired by the way ants care for their colonies working together.

I'm expressing my want to repair all the things that have been broken all over the world. This is what I would do if "I could do anything," because the world needs a little fixing, and wouldn't it be great if a small team of men came around fixing everything?

Because of the recent earthquake tragedies in Haiti and Chile. I think it is important to build a city that earthquakes cannot damage or destroy. The high rise buildings should be strong enough to withstand any earthquakes, so that people can be safe and will not be threatened.

GRADES 10-12

I would travel on a robot around the world. Everyone desires to see this vast world, but only a handful of people can fulfill their aspiration with today's limited technology. In the future maybe everyone can have their own transportation to travel the world. With technology, the possibilities are endless

"If I could do anything, I would..." find a way to improve education for underprivileged students in cities, towns and neighborhoods that are suffering from poverty. Consequently, that generation of young men and women could become the leaders and role models for the next generation.

"If I could do anything, I would..." go to Japan. I would love to go to Japan because I want to see and explore its architecture, like Tokyo Tower. I also want to master the style of art, both traditional and digital. I also would love to eat the food.

My doodle expresses my desire to understand other views and cultures. I want to branch out to gain a strong sense of the world; not only in one perspective, but many. My wish is to show people my experiences through a pursuit of art/design in my future career.

"If I could do anything, I would..." spread the knowledge of music throughout the world. Not only does music inspire kids to keep at their dreams. But music also saves lives of many people.

"If I could do anything, I would..." provide children across the globe with the seedlings of opportunity to receive a proper education, especially those in underprivileged countries. I want to create a world in which all children can nurture their own education and grow their seedlings into bright, beautiful futures.

"If I could do anything, I would..." bring you hope and healing. I would bring the sun to chase away the night, and help you see clearly the peace that is always beside you. I would take you up in a balloon, to glimpse the beauty of the Maker.

In my mind I see cancer as an unstoppable black mass. It consumes so much with so little effort. All it has to do is find its next victim. In my illustration you can see how the blackness is reaching out and attaching itself to everything in sight.

"If I could do anything, I would..." reconnect with nature and learn to appreciate the beauty. The world and our individual lives are so wrapped up in technology that if I could do anything I'd reconnect with where we all began, nature.

If I could do anything, what would I do? I thought about this hard and long. Then it hit me, I would publish a book. My ideas are overflowing, and in this doodle they are coming to life. Jumping out of the pages for the whole world to see.
